The Mbandi Masters Invitational is our flagship youth tennis tournament and a cornerstone of Kenya’s junior tennis calendar. Now in its fourth year, it was created to spotlight the incredible talent of young players aged 12 and under (12U) and 14 and under (14U), the tournament brings together some of the nation’s top-ranked junior athletes for a weekend of high-level competition and community celebration. A key goal of the tournament is early talent identification, recognizing promising young players and supporting their long-term growth in tennis.​

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Nairobi, the tournament not only serves as a platform for showcasing emerging talent, but also as a tool for youth development while instilling values of discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship. With prizes including trophies and brand-new tennis rackets, the event rewards excellence while inspiring the next generation of Kenyan tennis stars.

Winners receive new tennis rackets and, if they maintain strong academic standing, continue to receive sponsorship and equipment support throughout their junior careers.

Criteria for Selection

1. Players between 10yrs and 14yrs are elligible, must be born between 2014 and 2010

2. In each category (12U, 14U) a total of 8 players will make the draws

3. Two special exempts/WC after the first 6 players selection

4. Kenyan Citizens or Kenyan Residents are eligible

5. National Ranking as of predetermined cut off date

6. CAT Ranking as of predetermined cut off date

7. Players consistency in local events participation will be considered

8. Players level of play will be a consideration
